Hyperion Administrator
The Hyperion Administrator is responsible for Administration and Enhancements of the Hyperion environment (HFM, Planning, Essbase, FDM, Reports and Smart view).
 
Administration
Assure the accuracy, smooth and secure operation of our core planning system with approximately 60 Planning users and 10 HFM users.
 
Responsibilities include:
Oversee Oracle to Hyperion (HFM and Essbase) month-end actual loads using FDM.
Maintain and update FDM mapping tables when required.
Update metadata in both HFM and Planning.
Support mid-year forecast and annual budget process.
Maintain Hyperion Planning Forms, Business Rules, and Financial Reports for users.
Maintain Outline and Calc Scripts for Administrative duties.
Run scripts to load data into Planning from OFSA.
Run and maintain the process to load securities and investments data files to Essbase System 9.
Administer security.
Provide user support, training, documentation, and communication.
Trouble-shoot issues.
Update Hyperion Development to keep it identical to Production.
 
Development/Enhancements
This role is also tasked with driving continuous improvement to:
Maintain and Improve system integrity.
Facilitate efficient system maintenance.
Automate routine administrative work as much as practical.
Manage system upgrade and enhancement projects.
Supervise the engagement of third-party consultants for system upgrades and other projects as required.
 
Current time spent on responsibilities:
Hyperion Administration & Support: 60%
Month End, Forecast, and AOP Tasks & Support: 5%
Projects & Development: 35%
 
Interacts with:
System End-users, SVP FP&A, CFO, Office of CEO, Accounting, IT, HR
 
Qualifications
2+ years of Essbase, Hyperion Planning and Financial Reports administration experience a must (system 11.1.1 and System 9.02)
3+ years experience in Finance and or IT supporting Finance
Proficient in MS Excel, MS PP and MS Word
BA/BS degree in Finance / Accounting / Business / Computer Science
Strong communication skills
