Issue:

At some point the timeout settings in QA EAS (the admin tool that we use to support the applications) was reset to 30 minutes (possibly when we had the data storage issues).

This setting was previously set to allow us to work in QA without a short inactive timeout window. As such I have opened a ticket to have to reset the timeout to 8 hours.

Solution:

Unzip the EPM_ORACLE_HOME\products\Essbase\eas\server\AppServer\InstallableApps\Common\eas.ear file.
Within this file structure, unzip the eas.war file.
Within this file structure, open the web.xml file.
Locate the Servlet Session Configuration section.
The default value for session-timeout is 45 minutes.
Change the session-timeout value, in minutes.
Save and close the file.
Rezip the eas.war file.
Rezip the eas.ear file.
Subsequent Administration Services sessions that exceed the number of minutes that you set are terminated.
