About UDA's
UDA(User Defined Attributes) are define the characteristics of members.It groups the related
item together.
Eg: Market

|__SI
|__AP{UDA : Small}
|__TN{UDA: Medium}
|__UP{UDA: Large}
|__Delhi{UDA: Small}
*UDA can associated with either dense or sparse dimension.
*The main difference between UDA and alias is alias may only be attached to one member
where as UDA can associated with many members.
*UDA offer a way to simplify and make ongoing operation of your database more efficient.
*There is no storage space reserved for UDA's. So doesn't impact on database.
*UDA's doesn't impact on Calculation scripts , Inherit calculation and Reports.
*To create UDA manually, write click on any member and click edit member properties, Click UDA tab. Enter a UDA name next to the ASSIGN text box and click assign. Click ok.
